Service cost: ~2100 appx.Ideal bike for road trips in budget.Can do long long rider without any problem.Bajaj still needs to work on vibration.I was on a rider from bangalore to mysore (without break) but after that my hands palms were feeling abnormal.If i strike a surface with palm, It was giving a bell kind of sound.This is due to vibration.I normally like to rider in 110 - 120kmph and this bike is ideal bike for that speed with so good stability in those speeds.I have also observed sometimes the tank gets heated (when you place your hand on the fuel inlet, You can feel it)rear brakes are not great and sometimes when on high speed i need to brake hard, I don't feel confidence.Planning to get rear brakes replaced.

Dominar Is The Best
It's quite a powerful bike. It has more than enough power to keep you satisfied as a beginner touring enthusiast. With stability at high speed, good pickup, and comfortable seating for long rides, Bajaj indeed has got the best for its top bike. The rear brakes are not that good though, and the turning radius is a bit bothersome if you frequently go through narrow lanes. A 10kg decrease in the next-gen can make this bike a no-brainer under 3.5 lakhs. Speed: effortless 120kmph, although getting to higher speeds above 150kmph isn't that comfortable. Mileage: 30kmpl if you ride efficiently. On highways, you can expect 32kmpl vibrations: low-end vibrations are more. The sweet spot for lesser vibrations occurs as you are into the mid-range. Service: the first service costs around INR 2400.

I have a Dominar 400 BS6 model. I almost covered 10k kilometres and felt lots of issues are there. 1. Engine: the engine is not enough to smooth it produces lots of vibration, noise, and jerking. The speed range is very short
according to gear. Eg: the engine will produce more noise if you try to speed up over 40 kmph in the 4th gear.
On the other hand, you have to pull down your gear if your speed is below 50 kmph. 2. Build quality: the control
switch got burned after 1 year, found some oil leakage from the body of the engine. The color of the engine is
getting white because of heat. 3. Braking system: the rear brake, anyhow is not working, The front brake is
getting jammed some time while the bike runs. 4. Servicing: most of the time parts are not available at the
showroom. You are forced to use the Bajaj engine oil made by HP. The quality of this oil is very very poor. You
will feel more vibration after running 20-30 kilometres. Recently I drove RE meteor, the engine is very cool
& smooth than Dominar 400. The insurance & registration price will be almost doubled if the engine
capacity is more than 350cc.

Performance is amazing, Only it has developed small niggles with rear brakes & some body panels, Suspension is also making noise.Engine is performing flawlessly.Maintenance is also not very heavy.

The brakes of the dominar 400 ug can get better by just few changes master cylynder update sinterd brakes pads these are only applied for front brakes the rear brake is too sensitive when i press the brake in my d400 ug it hits back due to the abs kicks in because its too sensitive i would recomand to bajaj to upgrade to 9m bosch abs program to solve this problem which is used in ktm machine and i would suggest bajaj that not to go with mrf revz c1 rather to go with applo h1 alpha because its made up of better tyre compund and it is made up of two comound hard in the middle with made up of hard rubber wich give more mileage and less wear and tear and in the sides they have used soft compound which more cofidence and in the corrners andits handles the bike better and it is made in india bajaj shoud go i theeth in the back which wii give it final drive of 15/44 ans i dominar shoud lose some kgs in the dry weight because the its power to weight ratio wil increase and espicaly silencer shoud lose few kgs because of that bike could not balance properly and it always tend to go ti the right side and beacuse of that i hand is always carring more weight and preassure to balance the bike and its a tyring thingthing in long rides and except this bike is best in class bajaj has done a great job rhats why its called the the most loved indian

Dominar 400 ug is great bike from bajaj i use this bike on daily basis as well as on long jurney/ tour.. i love the performance n handling of this bike especially the high speed stability of this bike the crusing speed of this bike around 90 ti 130km. Talkin about mileage i get around 26 to 28 in city & 38 to 42 on highway or long tour..The only thing i dislike of this is center/ main stand since its a sports tourer it must have one... the USD front fork n soft rear suspension offer great comfort n ride quality 👌 the up right sitting position of this bike is great for daily usge as well fr weekends or long rides...
